to the Herpers: Winter Weather Advisory
a note from Jim:
Herpers, I had thought that tonight’s weather conditions would be a nice relatively warm rain continuing into the evening that would provide good amphibian-migration conditions in central Vermont mountain towns and the Northeast Kingdom, but current weather forecasts show a winter weather advisory for wet snow in many of those same areas. There is also a possibility of high winds and power outages in some places.
So, although there may be some amphibian action at lower elevations and in some places before the rain turns to snow, mountain herpers should check the weather forecast before heading out. It might be safer to stay home.
